Can You Hear My Voice
Grades: 1-6
Audience Maximum: 300
Kim and Jerry use humour, rap,
storytelling, songs and theatre to explore what it's like to step into
another person's shoes.
Their blend of original
music and theatre takes the students on a journey exploring the issues
of diversity, inclusion, ability, trust, violence, name-calling and conflict
resolution. In one sketch, Kim and Jerry act out a nasty fight between
two school-aged friends that seems hopeless until the schoolyard peacemakers
come to their rescue. In other scenes, their wonderful and lovable characters
Gertrude, Alphonse and Beulah add humour and heart.
